About

Hello and welcome! I am an archaeologist and this is my research blog. I’m currently working on transferring my old posts from elsewhere, but eventually I will post some new content as well. Stay tuned!

I love collections research and if you have an underused archaeology collection, you should absolutely hire me to do some neat research on it. This blog is filled with examples of my work. You can also see my CV on the home page.

Some of my writing here was done on the clock (as a contractor at the Rogers Archaeology Lab at the Smithsonian’s National Museum of Natural History), but the majority of the work here was done on my own time. If you find my work useful, you are welcome, but never obligated, to buy me a coffee (or tea, as the case may be πŸ™‚ ).

You can find me on Bluesky and Mastodon. You can also email me at MyFirstName [AT] ThisDomain.

Color photo of me standing at a lectern, with the first slide of a presentation on a big screen behind me. The title on it is "Trading Post Artifacts: Re-examining Archaeological Collections Associated with the MIssouri River Fur Trade" It also has my name, the title of the event: National Fur Trade Symposium, and the date of the presentation: September 19, 2018.
